| Position Summary: |
Self-starting, problem-solving mechanical design engineer for bio-medical applications. Will design high precision mechanisms, optical transmission systems and related equipment for state-of-the-art Bio-medical equipment.

| Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: |
- Mechanical Design
- System packaging Design
- Assembly and detailing drawings
- Prototype assembly and test
- Interfacing with Operations staff
|
| Qualifications: |
- BSME
- 5-7 years experience in a high tech environment
- 2D and 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk Inventor)
- Good Communication Skills
- Experience with precision mechanism designs and kinematic design principals
- Ability to apply stress, thermal, and vibration analysis techniques to real world designs
- Geometric tolerance, ANSI Y14.5, and finite element analysis a definite plus
- Experience with machining, sheet metal, and plastic fabrication techniques
- Experience designing for regulatory requirements (CE, UL, TUV)
- Ability to develop and interpret design requirements
