Manages the IP Administration at Applied Precision. Coordinates between external IP counsel and internal corporate management and inventors. Administers IP creation process at Applied Precision including coordination of disclosures, filings, and prosecution for patents and trademarks. Maintains patent and trademark database including electronic and physical files.

• Acts as a liaison between outside IP counsel and President
• Acts as IP Master Administrator: docketing/tracking/filing, including official responses and patent / trademark prosecution correspondence
• Facilitates information flow from inventors/engineers through management review process and communication with IP counsel. Monitors and tracks application process, obtaining information form inventors as required.
• Provides administrative support for US and foreign patent / trademark prosecution, (e.g.: assignments, declarations, and powers of attorney, etc.).
• Prepares agendas and coordinate materials for review by internal IP Committee members.
• Draft general correspondence, office and research memoranda, and status letters. Using IP Master spreadsheet , track all contracts, patents, employee invention reports, and trademarks and electronically file as required.

• College degree preferred or 2-5 years related experience
• Two-year, ABA approved paralegal program certificate preferred
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel.
