NanoMotion® II Micropositioning System

Product Overview

The NanoMotion II High Performance Micropositioning System combines the NanoMover® Precision Linear Actuator with a precision motion control chassis and software. It is used to automate existing processes for greater process control in both laboratory and production environments. The high resolution and extremely repeatable and accurate characteristics of the NanoMotion II system enables a wide range of applications within the photonics, semiconductor, biotechnology, medical and telecommunications industries.

The NanoMover actuator couples a precision micrometer screw to a stepper motor. Through a combination of electronics and software the precision chassis is capable of providing control of up to two NanoMover actuators. Designed for flexibility, the chassis can be configured to communicate with a host computer via a PC ISA slot, RS-232 port, or IEEE-488 port. Additionally, up to eight chassis can be linked together to provide control of up to 16 actuators. The unmatched performance, compact size and simple user interface makes the NanoMotion II High Performance Micropositioning System the only choice for the most demanding motion control applications.

Flexibility for your application

The NanoMotion II system easily integrates into a variety of applications such as precision microscopy stages, tunable laser sources and semiconductor metrology equipment.

A modular design allows multiple chassis to be linked together to control up to 16 actuators, with each chassis operating two NanoMover actuators.

Chassis are properly configured and shipped from the factory based on your current requirements. As your needs change you can reconfigure the chassis in the field by changing the communication board or installing the bus expansion card.

NanoMover linear actuators easily replace manual micrometers with 10 mm shaft diameters, improving efficiency by eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

Spherical tipped or flat tipped NanoMover actuators are available to suit you particular applications.
